Video: Bed-Stuy Slashing Unfolds As Young Family Gets Away, Cops Say

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man suffered neck injuries this year in a dramatic scuffle that took place within walking distance of young children in Bed-Stuy, police say.

The fight began between the 32-year-old man and one of his attackers, who was holding a knife, outside the Bedford Avenue and Fulton Street entrance to Nostrand Avenue station around 3.45pm on April 18, according to police and the video. .

The pair fought for around a minute before a second attacker came up from behind and hit the 32-year-old. The first attacker then slashed the man in the neck and the two leave with his jacket, backpack and a camera, according to police and video.

A family with young children and a stroller walking down the sidewalk can be seen jumping backwards in horror as the beatings unfold, video shows.

The 32-year-old was taken to hospital after the incident, police said.
