Brigham Young, Concordia-Irvine still 1 and 2 in MCLA Division I coaches poll

ATLANTIS — For the fourth week in a row, Brigham Young and Concordia-Irvine hold the top spots in the New Balance MCLA Division I Weekly Coaches Poll.
The Cougars (11-0) are still comfortably seated in the big chair, gobbling up 26 of the 27 first-place votes cast this week. The Eagles (10-1) are 27 points ahead of the third-place team, with their only loss to BYU by one goal.
Liberty (10-1) earns a spot at No. 3 and clinched the remaining vote for first place. Florida (12-1) also moved up to fourth. After its big victory over Clemson (11-2) on Sunday, Virginia Tech (9-1) jumps three places to No. 5, 12 points ahead of the Tigers.
Florida State (5-6) dropped out of the ballot this week to make way for UC Santa Barbara (5-5). The Gauchos overthrew No. 12 Santa Clara (6-3) to take the plunge.
