We will meet at the Brigham Young Farmhouse, at This is the Place Heritage State Park. The Farmhouse will be featured on the parade of homes this year. Pioneer games and an hour to visit and socialize begins at 5:00. A delicious chuck wagon dinner will be served at 6:30. Our program features Elder M.  On May 30, 2008, the statue of Brigham Young by Kraig Varner was returned to the Utah State capitol building to become part of the new Territorial Governors Exhibit. The statue was commissioned in 1992 by the State Legislature, and should be on your "must see" list during your next visit to Salt Lake City.

On June 9, 2007, the Joseph Smith Jr. Family Reunion invited representatives of the Young family to attend and present a statement regarding the relationship between Brigham Young and Emma Smith. Our statement began, "We revere [her] as a truly great and saintly lady..."

Kari Robinson, Mary Ellen Elggren, and  Peter Kennedy represented the Brigham Young Family Association at the Joseph Smith Jr. Family Reunion this past June, and presented a statement regarding the relationship of Brigham Young to Joseph's wife, Emma

The Brigham Young Family Association reunion on September 8, 2007, was a great success. It was held on the lawn of the Brigham Young Farm House at the This is the Place Heritage State Park in Salt Lake City. Many attendees commented that the later date made it easier for more of them to attend. The guest speaker was Elder John Carmack of the LDS Church, Quorum of the Seventy.
